On Tuesday, November 17th, Galesburg Police were dispatched to the area of the Cherry and Fremont Streets intersection where they met with a 31-year old Monmouth man who said he had just been held-up at gunpoint. The man said while walking along East South Street, a Buick sedan pulled up and four male subjects armed with handguns got out, forced him into the car, then forced him to direct them to a residence on Grand Avenue. The four men claimed an individual on Grand Avenue owed them money. According to police reports, the men forced their way into the residence and stole $500 from the caller before leaving.
