Three more deaths in Knox County attributed to COVID

Three more people have lost their lives since Saturday with those deaths being attributed to the Coronavirus Disease.

According to the Knox County Health Department, the three deaths were in a female in her 40s, a male in his 70s, and a female in her 80s. This brings the total number of deaths in Knox County to 48 since the start of the pandemic.

Knox County residents are encouraged to consider the health of their families and those around them when they are making decisions about attending any size gatherings including family gatherings or just going to work.

Michele Gabriel, Administrator for the health department says they are continuing to take necessary, carefully considered steps to slow down the spread of the disease and to protect those at greatest risk

The health department is holding another free COVID drive-thru testing event this weekend at the Knox County Fairgrounds from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
