Several iPhones stolen from US Cellular Friday Afternoon

Friday afternoon, Galesburg Police were dispatched to the US Cellular store on Knox Square Drive for a theft. Upon arrival, police spoke with several witnesses who said three individuals entered the store numerous times, and a male subject was seen running through the parking lot carrying several boxes of cell phones. According to police reports, store management told police the phones were taken from the desk in the back office which is usually locked. Police also questioned employees at the AT&T store where witnesses and employees said three suspicious individuals kept coming in and out of the store asking to use the restroom. Employees at Hibbetts Sports told police of similar accounts. Two of the suspects actually showed AT&T employees their IDs to purchase phones prior to the theft at US Cellular. Security footage and witness accounts helped police identify two of the three individuals who are now wanted for questioning. Stolen were four black iPhone 12s, two red iPhone 12s, and two blue iPhone 12 minis. The investigation is ongoing.
