
An Ohio man is being held in the Knox County Jail on $100,000 bond after his arrest in Galesburg over the weekend.
51-year-old Edward Schoolcraft of Marietta, Ohio, is being charged with felony counts of possession of over 5,000 grams of cannabis, manufacturing/delivery of cannabis over 5,000 grams, and cannabis trafficking, according to online court records.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says that on Saturday, deputies assisted troopers with the Illinois State Police in encountering Schoolcraft in the 2000-block of East Main Street in Galesburg.
During the investigation, K-9 units alerted to the subject’s vehicle where approximately 16 vacuum-sealed bundles of cannabis weighing approximately 63 pounds were found.
Also found were four pounds of THC oil and six Oxycodone pills.
He’ll be back in Knox County Circuit Court on December 14th.
