‘Coats For The Community’ Continues After Successful Distribution

Galesburg Area Blessing Box Helpers has been providing food and hygiene products for those in need. When Diane Crock started adding coats, scarves, blankets and other clothing to the Blessing Box in her yard, she realized that there was a definite need for coats for people in the area. thus, ‘Coats For The Community’ was born. The actual event was a great success with more than 600 coats collected and handed out. The effort continues with the coat drop off now at Watson-Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory. Diane and Anthony Law from Carl Sandburg College joined Tom Meredith and Tyler Gumm on “Galesburg’s Morning News” to talk about the effort and more.
