Illinois State Police say two Galesburg teenagers ran over a man in a car, who was lying in the street on Friday night, causing fatal injuries
62-year-old Eric B. Ericson of Galesburg was pronounced dead on the scene by the Knox County Coroner.
Police responded just before 11:30 p.m. Friday.
ISP is doing a more complete investigation, but from their preliminary work, they found the teens were traveling south on South Farnham Street near the intersection with South Street. Police say the Black Ford Fusion the teens were driving drove over Ericson.
The teenagers were a 17-year-old male and an 18-year-old female although a release from ISP doesn’t indicate which one was the driver.
