Not So Well Known Gem Of A Museum In Mount Pleasant, IA

Mount Pleasant, IA is just less than an hour and a half from Galesburg. The community houses an amazing, historical museum that needs to be more well known. The Theater Museum of Repertoire Americana houses the history of shows that traveled the country, prior to the advent of theaters in most communities. These traveling shows started in the 1850s and some were still in existence until the early 1970s. David Wagaman is a board member of the museum. He also acted, directed and produced some of these shows as well as working on Broadway and in Hollywood. David joined Tom Meredith on “Galesburg Live” to talk about the museum, the history of the shows and his career.
