Two men are facing charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver from an arrest on Monday.
According to Henderson County Sheriff’s office, 33-year-old Cody A. Jones of Oquawka was arrested after deputies stopped a pickup truck pulling a flatbed trailer with a backhoe along Illinois Route 164.
Jones had a warrant out of both Henderson and Mercer Counties on multiple charges. Deputies learned that the trailer was reported stolen out of Coralville, Iowa, and the backhoe was reported stolen out of Warren County.
Inside the truck, deputies allege they found drug paraphernalia, 23 grams of cannabis, and 43 grams of meth. Jones was charged with the delivery of meth charge and for possession of stolen property. His bond was set at $150,000.
Also arrested was 45-year-old Matthew S. Millage of Keithsburg. His bond was set at $75,000 on just the delivery charge. Additional charges may be filed later.
Meth delivery charges are Class X felonies, punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
