Catherine Peterson, 78, of Monmouth, IL, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021, 10:45 p.m. at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.
She was born Tuesday, November 26, 1940, in Eveston, IL the daughter of Joseph and Cecila DeDecker. She married Merlin Peterson on September 6, 1975, in Phoenix, AZ.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jerome DeDecker, David DeDecker, Ariana Shea, Michael Shea, Jon Peterson, David Peterson, and Bria Peterson; 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons (Marty DeDecker and Michael Peterson).
Catherine was raised and educated in Chicago, IL. She worked as an inspector for most of her life. She enjoyed crafting, reading, and bowling.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Wise Family Funeral Home Roseville, IL, with visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Per covid-19 masks will be required.
