
Knox College announced the hiring of their 20th president Monday in C. Andrew McGadney.
The Board of Trustees has been on the search since Teresa Amott announced her retirement in March of 2020, after serving at the helm of the college since 2011.
Andy McGadney comes to Knox by way of Colby College where he is currently vice president and dean of student advancement, following three years as Colby’s vice president and secretary of the College.
McGadney has degrees from Wesleyan, Columbia University, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Pennsylvania, writing his dissertation on “Crisis Management at Small Liberal Arts Colleges: Perspectives on Presidential Decision Making.”
McGadney will start as Knox College President on July 1.
