Early voting has begun for the consolidated municipal elections taking place on April 6. Registered voters in Galesburg can get an application for a mail-in ballot by calling the City Election Office, contacting the office by mail, stopping by in person or visiting the City’s website. If you log on, look for the “Our Government” tab and go down to “Election Office.” It’s also easy to vote early in person at City Hall. The Election Office is the farthest window on the left if you enter City Hall from Tompkins St., and is located just before the threshold into the Public Safety Building. The Election Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. Then from Mar. 15 until Election Day those weekday hours are extended until 6 p.m. Precinct-specific sample ballots are also available on the City’s website. Early voting has also started in Warren County at the County Clerk’s office, or for Knox County voters outside of Galesburg, in the Knox County courthouse.
