Janet Marie Hall, 64, of Galesburg, Illinois passed away at 9:52 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Janet was born the youngest of eleven children on September 19, 1956, in Galesburg to Anthony N. and Edith Fawn (Frymire) Joseph.
She married Nick E. Norville and from that marriage had two sons, Nick William (and Sheila) Norville of Rockwall, Texas and Forest E. “Woody” Norville of Galesburg. Janet and Nick moved to California while he served in the military. After they moved back to their hometown of Galesburg they divorced. Janet had two more children, Anthony Shawn Garza and Brandalynn (and Willy Bowman) Garza both of Galesburg with Phil Garza. She later married Douglas Hall in 1998 in Galesburg, they divorced in 2009.
Janet is survived by her four children; her brothers, Anthony “Donnie” (and JuDee) Joseph, Joe (and Debbie) Joseph, Gary Joseph and Phillip (and Karen) Joseph all of Galesburg; two sisters, Carol (the late Gary) Denniston and Mary (and Jerry) Montgomery both of Marble Falls, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren with one on the way and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, John “Mike”, Danny, Bill, and Sam Joseph.
Janet worked a variety of jobs and attended Galesburg Schools. She was of the Catholic faith. She collected anything with cows and enjoyed putting puzzles together. She loved her many fur babies, Sissy, Pearl, Rex, Bella, and Dakota. Janet served proudly as an election judge during election times.
Visitation will be held Noon-2:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Services will follow at 2:00 pm with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Due to guidelines associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing and facemasks will be required with limited occupancy. Burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery.
