A Galesburg man was arrested on a variety of charges after a traffic stop Saturday night. 45-year old Derrick Wandick, and his passenger: 27-year old Pierre Daniel were stopped by GPD on Saturday night after crossing over the white lane line on West Main Street. Police discovered that Wandick was driving on a suspended license and was placed under arrest. An open bottle of Hennessey in the back seat was found, which Daniel admitted to being his, and he was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. A search of Wandick turned up a little over a gram of suspected cannabis, and a taser in his front pocket. Inside the car, officers located another open bottle of beer, a pair of BB guns that resembled real firearms, and a gun holster in the driver-side door. Wandick was charged with being a Felon in Possession of a Weapon for the taser, cited for Driving on a Suspended License, Operating an Uninsured Vehicle, and warned about improper lane usage. He was transported to the Knox County Jail.
