Disturbance call leads to the arrest of Galesburg pair for weapons charges.

Galesburg Police were dispatched Sunday, March 21st, around 4:00 in the morning to the 600 block of Home Boulevard for reports of two vehicles causing a disturbance involving a weapon after receiving numerous 911 calls. Officers caught up with one of the vehicles on McClure Street and attempted to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle continued on to a parking lot in the 1500 block of McKnight Street. The driver: 39-year old Angel Towns-Brundidge and the passenger: 36-year old Raymond Brundidge both of Galesburg were ordered out of the vehicle. Both were detained and officers searched the vehicle discovering a locked and loaded 9mm Highpoint in the glove box. It was discovered there was no record for the firearm. Raymond Brundidge was charged with being a Felon in Possession of a weapon. According to police reports, Raymond has had felony convictions for weapon charges in Cook, Kane, and Knox County in 2004, 2008, 2013, and 2021. Angel Towns-Brundidge was charged with Fleeing and Eluding.
