The Memphis Dives are regulars on the local music scene, from bars to festivals to parties, at least before the pandemic hit. All members are from Galesburg, except for one Opheim native. One of their members, Corey Weisenberger, kicked off a virtual series of concerts The Orpheum hosted over the summer. Weisenberger is also a member of the bluegrass band Frank F. Sidney’s Western Bandit Volunteers.  Cow says that group is on a bit of a hiatus. Although Weisenberger and Tyler Soper say it’s difficult to describe exactly what genre the band fits, it mixes rockabilly, blues, and rock among other things. Primarily their songs are originals written by Weisenberger. The Orpheum is taking a lot of care to make things safe will masks required and people spaced out. This Friday, March 26th,  50-75 people will be the capacity but the band says they’re working to make it as big as they can.
