Job seekers looking to change careers will not want to miss Carl Sandburg College’s next career expo being held Friday, April 23.
The school’s Varied Trades Career Expo is being held from 10 am to 12 pm at John M. Lewis Gymnasium on the main campus in Galesburg.
The expo is similar to one that the community college held last week that focused on industrial manufacturing and skilled trades jobs and programs offered at Sandburg and is aimed at job seekers that want to learn about new opportunities.
Businesses and organizations from the region will be networking with job seekers. Companies include First Student, the Galesburg Fire Department, Mid Century Communications, the Warren Achievement Center, Illinois State Police, and more.
The expo is free and open to the public but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks are required and attendees must fill out a brief health survey upon entry.
