Churchill Junior High will move to remote learning beginning on Monday but they only expect to be in the format for a week.

The District 205 school has had an outbreak of COVID-19 although few details are shared.

School officials say the decision was made in partnership with the Knox County Health Department.

For the moment, this closure only applies to Churchill although other district buildings have had to go into remote learning for a week or two in the past after outbreaks.

Meal pick-up for Churchill students is still available from Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at GHS, West Circle Drive.
