Galesburg Police on Saturday were dispatched to the 100 block of North Henderson Street for reports of a sexual assault in progress. The caller advised police that her 10-year old daughter was at a sleep-over at the residence. One of the juveniles had contacted the girl’s mother who was already on the scene escorting her daughter from the residence when police arrived. It was approximately 2:50 in the morning at the time. According to police reports, the 10-year old female and an 11-year old female were in the kitchen of the house making food when they saw 43-year old Etzel Glass Jr. – who lived at the residence – standing behind them fully exposed, masturbating, and smiling at the girls. There were four other juveniles inside the home at the time aged: 11, 6, 4, and 3. Parents were contacted and their children were removed from the residence. Glass was taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail. Glass was charged with Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The victims are under the age of 13 which makes the offense a Class 4 Felony. Glass denied exposing himself. During a review of his background, police discovered Glass is a registered violent offender against youth, and DCFS was notified.
