There are also plenty of opportunities to take in some art this weekend.

The Standish Arts and Crafts Market returns to Standish Park tomorrow from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm, during Railroad Days in Galesburg.

The City of Monmouth has its own outdoor arts event going on tomorrow as well. From 10:00-2:00, the Plein Air on the Square in the Maple City hosted by the Buchanan Center for the Arts.

Local artists will create artwork from their perspective from Central park in the middle of the square, with the completed work being auctioned online after the event and proceeds to fund arts programming at the arts center.

There’s also an opportunity this weekend to teach the kids some important lessons in farm safety tomorrow.

Kids ages 8-14 can learn about being safe around electricity, fire safety, emergency preparedness, first aid, and machine safety at the Knox County Fairgrounds from 8:30 to 4:00.
