Four Oquawka residents arrested on meth charges

Four people were arrested after a joint effort by various law enforcement organizations executed a search warrant on Friday in Oquawka.

According to a release from the Illinois State Police on Tuesday, ISP’s Division of Criminal Investigation West Central Illinois Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 1552 Township Road 2550 North in the river town.

Seized by WCITF Agents were 148 grams of ICE methamphetamine, hypodermic syringes, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of US currency.

Arrested were 37-year-old Robert A. Doss, 32-year-old Michael A. Abbott, 34-year-old Chelsea M. Roller, and 29-year-old Emily A. Kay — all of Oquawka.

Doss was charged with one count of a Class 1 Felony of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine over 15 grams, one misdemeanor count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and three active arrest warrants. Online Henderson County Circuit Court records indicate that Doss is charged with Possession of 100-400 grams Meth with Intent to Deliver, a Class X felony.

Abbott was arrested and charged with one Class 3 felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams, one misdemeanor count of Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, and one active arrest warrant.

Roller was charged with one felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams, one misdemeanor count of Possession of Hypodermic Syringes, and one active arrest warrant.

And, Kay was charged with one felony count of Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams and one active arrest warrant. She is also facing charges in Henderson County with Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer, a Class 2 felony, and a Class 4 charge of Disorderly Conduct.

Assisting WCITF agents were the Quad-City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, Illinois State Police SWAT Team, and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.
