Over the weekend, a business owner and three suspected homeless people were arrested following a strange sequence of break-ins and burglaries at the former Club 21 on North Chambers Street. Police were first notified of a break-in at the former bar by owner 39-year old Steven “Champ” Coleman II on Saturday, July 10th. Coleman had identified a suspect after finding a trail cam for sale that was stolen. Police instructed Coleman to stay away from the suspect until they could investigate.  Later on Saturday, Police were called to a Seminary Street residence by Coleman where he confronted 39-year old Brandon Clark. Coleman had a firearm on him during the incident and he was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Violation of the FOID Card Act. Clark was arrested on a Warren County Warrant for aggravated animal cruelty. The next day on Sunday, GPD were dispatched to the former Club 21 after Coleman reported another break-in. Subjects keep entering through a broken basement window. In searching the building, police came upon 26-year old Jordan Lawson and 30-year old Matthew Allen. Allen was arrested for Burglary, Lawson was arrested for Criminal Trespassing.
