Amtrak is resuming full services next week.
Starting on Monday, July 19, the state-supported trains are back in business according to a release from the Illinois Department of Transportation.
The routes include five daily trips between Chicago and Saint Louis, two between Chicago and Quincy — which will include stops in Galesburg and Macomb, and three daily roundtrips from Chicago to Carbondale.
Two national trains are included in that, the Texas Eagle and City of New Orleans.
Services levels had been cut in half during the pandemic but will be resuming normal operations.
Tickets can be purchased at amtrak.com/midwest for travel beginning on Monday.
