Millions of young people have gained experience and knowledge in a variety of disciplines through 4-H, including kids in Knox and Warren Counties. Coming out the other end of COVID, we are in the middle of the season for 4-H’s culminating events of the year. Knox County 4-H Coordinator Nicole Nelson says they made great efforts to make this year’s shows more accessible than ever. For example, most events were live-streamed on Youtube. Nelson says the showcase calls on students to do projects and get feedback from judges with expertise in that field. Livestock shows for Knox County 4-H wrapped up their two-day livestock show, and they’ll wrap up with their horse show on Saturday. Warren County 4-H had their General Project Show back on June 26, but still are looking forward to their livestock show. That’s on July 21 and 22 at the Warren County Fairgrounds.
