Patricia Ann “Pat” Thompson, 89, of Dahinda, passed away at home on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 1:49 AM.Pat was born on May 20, 1932, in Galva, Illinois. She was the daughter of Donald Eugene and Beulah Mae (Bolin) Anderson. Pat married Wayne Thomson on June 17, 1950, in Altona. Together they celebrated 71 years of marriage. Pat is survived by her loving husband, Wayne at home; children, Lana Jo Bjorling of Victoria, Allan Wayne (Cindy) Thompson of Galva, Rodney Lee (Kathy) Thomson of Oglesby, Steven Michael (Lara) Thomson of Florida, Toni Sue (Larry) Huffman of Altona and Bradley Scott (Shae) Thomson of Florida; siblings, Dave Anderson of and Jim (Janice) Anderson, both of Galva; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Doug Anderson, Sue Goodell, and Larry Anderson; grandsons, Josh Thomson and Jesse Huffman; and son-in-law, Dennis Bjorling.
Pat was a graduate of ROVA schools. She worked as a CNA at different nursing homes in the area; was a laborer at Dixline of Galva and the office manager at the AAA office in Kewanee. She loved life on the lake and would enjoy going boating and swimming. She also enjoyed traveling as well. Most importantly, Pat loved spending time with her family. Raising six children kept her busy and, on her toes, and later allowed her to be the number one grandma to her grandchildren. Her family was her everything.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No services are planned at this time. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes and Crematory, Knoxville have been entrusted with arrangements.
