Fumiko Adam, 91, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 8:45 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2021, in her home.
She was born February 12, 1930, in Hokkaido, Japan. She was raised and educated in Japan.
She married Horace Clifford Adam on March 27, 1957, and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1996.
Fumiko worked at Monmouth College in the Food Services department until her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed knitting, cooking, gardening, and traveling.
Surviving Fumiko is her son, Clifford (Wanda Wilson) Adam of Monmouth, IL; daughter Tina (Jeff) McCullough of Elgin, IL; grandchildren Zachery McCullough, Mika McCullough, Caydence Wilson, Eldon Wilson, and Cole Schoene. Also surviving are Michiko Miura, Reiko Miura, Hiroyuki Miura, Yoko Miura, and Toshi Miura.
She was preceded in death by her husband and one son Richard Adam.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Monmouth Cemetery.
