Galesburg Police on Sunday morning, August 8th, responded to St. Mary’s Medical Center for a report of a sexual assault. GPD was informed the 24-year old female victim suffered a broken tailbone and possibly a concussion, and also had numerous bruises and abrasions on her body. The victim later told police she had gotten into an argument with 38-year old George C. Hudson III whom she was in a relationship. The argument started at a bar in Peoria, and when Hudson and the victim returned to Galesburg, he struck her in the face several times. While at the couples’ home, Hudson struck her several more times while the two were in bed and then sexually assaulted her. The victim then left the home and with a friend, went to the hospital. Officers responded to the residence and made contact with Hudson who denied the allegations. Hudson was taken into custody and transported to the Knox County Jail. He’s charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault with Bodily Harm – a Class X Felony.
