Tina Conard will not run for another term as Warren County Clerk after holding the pivotal role for almost 2 decades and having been employed with the county for 4 decades.
Republican Conard’s term expires in 2022, but Deputy Clerk Randi Reynolds has said she will run to replace her boss.
Reynolds will also run as a Republican.
Reynolds has been Chief Deputy for the past two years and says she’s been trained in all aspects of the office’s operations.
She says she was instrumental in maintaining high standards in the recorder’s office during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Reynolds says her experience makes her the most qualified candidate. She adds “I hope to build on the legacy and high standards that the current Clerk and Recorder, Tina Conard, has set for the office.”
It’s not clear if there will be a Democratic opponent for Reynolds, but in 5 elections Tina Conard never faced opposition.
The Clerk in Warren County has a large list of responsibilities including; overseeing elections, tax extensions, accounts receivable and payable, recorder of deeds, and as a clerk to the County Board.
Reynolds is a Warren County native and a graduate of United High School, a member of Warren County Republican Women, and enjoys crafting in her spare time.
