Marc Rudolph is retiring from KCCDD at the end of this year after serving as Executive Director for nine years.
A press release from the non-profit says he’ll continue to serve in an advisory role through 2022..
Rudolph says “Working at KCCDD with the staff, clients, and the board has been the high point of my 40-year career.”
Rudolph was a key advocate that helped the passage of the 708 Board of Mental Health.
Despite living in a time and place where property tax raises are universally unpopular, Rudolph helped convince voters by an almost 2:1 margin to support the board.
Rudolph oversaw many developments at KCCDD as well.
For one, their downtown site The HUB was launched that hosts that SOAR (Social Opportunities and Respite) program that provides respite services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
The 708 Board of Mental Health found this to be one of the county’s biggest needs.
Also under Rudolph two KCCDD manufacturing facilities were merged, and the campus was renovated.
The KCCDD Board of Directors will begin a search to replace Rudolph this month.
