Courtlyn L. Blackman, 28, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 8:15 am, Sunday, September 12, 2021, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL
Courtlyn was born December 16, 1992, in Bremerton, WA, the daughter of Brent Blackman and Teresa L. Thompson. She was raised and educated in Phoenix, AZ, and Monmouth, IL. She attended Monmouth High School and later received her CNA certification.
She enjoyed swimming, running, music, and being the center of attention.
Surviving are her father, Brent (Karen) Blackman of Monmouth, IL; her mother, Teresa Thompson of Bremerton, WA; 3 brothers, Corey, Justin, and Joshua; her paternal grandparents, Patricia (Bill) Clark of Hopkinton, IA and Rick (Julie) Blackman of Monmouth, IL; her aunts, Amanda (Josh) White of Hopkinton, IA and Josie (Jim) Way of Port Orchard, WA; her uncles, Brian (Larena) Blackman of Monmouth and Kenny (Charity) Blackman of Monmouth, Il; her cousins Brooke, Trevor, Bryce, James, Adriana, Nick, Serenity, Blaise, Madison, and Rylee.
Cremation has been accorded. No services or visitation is planned at this time. Memorials may be given to the Courtlyn Blackman Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
