Galesburg Police last Wednesday, September 29th, was dispatched to the 100 block of West North Street for a report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, officers met with 57-year old Scott Lee Stanley of Gilson. Stanley told officers it was his son’s truck that was stolen. It was discovered that Stanley had a valid Warren County warrant and he was placed under arrest. Officers then met with Stanley’s son who had the title and registration for the vehicle. The victim told police the vehicle’s seller informed him the truck has been stolen numerous times before and someone else may have the second set of keys for it. GPD then later that day located the truck parked at a gas pump at Casey’s on West Main Street. Two female occupants exited the truck. Officers were familiar with the females due to previous encounters, one of which was identified as 33-year old Jessica England of Galesburg. England claimed the vehicle was her’s and when she saw it parked on North Street – she took it with the second set of keys, however, she had signed the title over to the new owner. England was placed under arrest and charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. WGIL reported that England was just arrested two and half weeks prior for stealing a truck on North Henderson Street and driving it to Family Dollar and Dollar General to shoplift.
