John Lorincz, Jr., 68, of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 6:21 PM at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.
John was born on March 7, 1953, in Hungary. He was the son of John and Maria Lorincz, Sr. John married Susan Cottle at Grace Lutheran Church in Knoxville. John is survived by his loving wife at home; his mother; sons, John Michael Lorincz of Knoxville and Timothy Lorincz of Oxford, WI; a brother, Charles Lorincz of Galesburg; four sisters, Theresa Liby of Galesburg, Elizabeth Roberts of Knoxville, Clara Franco of Arkansas and Mary Lorincz of Hungary; two grandchildren, Kelsie Sells and Kyle Lorincz; and a great-granddaughter, Karleigh. He was preceded in death by his father.
John and his family emigrated to the United States in 1956. He attended Knoxville Schools. He was the drywall finisher for Knox County and the surrounding areas. He loved to fish, hunt, and ride his Harley. He was a hard worker and loved his family very much.
