Galesburg Police on Saturday afternoon responded to the T. Fleming Fieldhouse on the Knox College campus in response to a theft that had occurred. GPD met with the Knox Football coaching staff where they told officers sometime during the Knox College Football game on Saturday, October 9th – presumably, during halftime, someone entered the football locker room and stole various items from several members of the team. A total of ten cell phones were reported missing as well as one student’s wallet and another student’s debit cards and school ID. The student-athletes were advised to contact the police if they locate their phones via a tracking app or if their bank notifies them of any fraudulent activity. GPD is still collecting any security footage from campus security, and the investigation is ongoing.
