The Galesburg Rescue Mission has new leadership but it comes from a familiar face.
The Board of Directors chose Renee Galvin after having worked as the Women’s Director at the Rescue Mission since 2016 and has worked as the morning office manager.
Renee is a Galesburg resident along with her husband Erik and two daughters.
The vacancy was open for the first time in over three decades after Dave Scholl retired this summer.
Since then, Jimmy Bennett has been serving as acting director.
Just weeks ago, the Galesburg Rescue Mission celebrated its 80th anniversary in Galesburg.
