
Larry David “Dave” Traman, Jr., 59 of Abingdon, passed away at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, October 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born December 23, 1961, in Geneseo, the son of Larry David and Sue Ann (Nimrick) Traman, Sr.
Dave is survived by his parents, Larry and Sue Traman, Sr. of Abingdon; his daughter, Tabitha Traman Brackett of Wataga; two stepsons, Trinity Keever of Wataga and Tyson (Kristin) Keever of Daytona Beach, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Aiden and Hailey Brackett, Skylar and CJ Keever, and Jaxn Mills; one sister, Dawn (Rick) Ginther of rural Abingdon; his girlfriend and caregiver, Julie Hall; and nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Elizabeth “Liz” Dechow.
Dave worked as a mechanic at Steve’s Smith & Allen Garage in Galesburg for several years. He later worked at Butler Manufacturing in Galesburg until it closed. He was saved and baptized at the First Assembly of God in Abingdon. He loved to race motorcycles and cars. He drove his “Mopar” cars at drag races at Cordova, Illinois. He enjoyed playing his guitars, camping, being in the great outdoors, and riding motorcycles with his dad.
