Illinois State Police are saying there was a traffic collision on Wednesday in Warren County between a pick-up truck and a truck tractor.
22-year-old Michael N. Stephens of Crown Point, Indiana was the driver of the pick-up and was transported to an area hospital with injuries.
Police say Stephens was westbound on Illinois 135 at the intersection with 32nd Street. The Peterbilt truck tractor was directly behind Stephens.
Stephens then is said to have failed to use a turn signal and performed an improper U-turn in front of the truck tractor causing the collision.
He was cited for the two traffic violations.
The driver of the truck tractor, a 57-year-old man from Biggsville, was unharmed.
