A Henry County man was in court Wednesday where bond was set at $300,000 for numerous child porn charges.
According to a release from the Illinois State Police, 22-year-old Frank R. Laughner was arrested for two counts of Dissemination of Child Pornography, a Class X felony. He also faces seven counts of Possession of Child Pornography, which is a Class 2 charge.
A search warrant was executed on his residence in Orion following an investigation of child pornography and investigators seized evidence supporting the arrest of Laughner.
The investigation remains open and ongoing.
Assisting the investigation was the Illinois Attorney General’s High-Tech Crimes Bureau, the Quad City Metropolitan Enforcement Group, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Geneseo, and Colona Police Departments.
A preliminary hearing for Laughner is scheduled for Monday, December 6, in Henry County Circuit Court.
