The Knox County Sheriff’s Department has received a donation of a bullet and stab protective vest.

K9 Officer Brenna’s vest is sponsored by the All Friends Animal Hospital based out of Connecticut through the non-profit Vested Interest in K9s.

Brenna’s vest will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.”.

The vest should be delivered within eight to ten weeks.

A single donation of $960 will sponsor one vest for a K9 officer.

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. has provided over 4,400 vests to date for K9s in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million, made possible by both private and corporate donations.
