Katie J. Arnold, 44, of Little York, IL, passed away at 8:49 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2021, at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on March 28, 1977, in Galesburg, IL, the daughter of Lawrence, Jr., and Terry (Gittings) Stokes. She graduated from Southern High School in Stronghurst, IL in 1995.
Katie married Robert Talley on February 14, 1997, in Monmouth, IL. She later married Steven Arnold on February 26, 2011, in Gerlaw, IL; he survives.
Katie worked at Casey’s in Monmouth for several years. She then worked at Circle K in Galesburg, and most recently, she worked at First Resources in Burlington. Katie was an avid Mickey Mouse collector. She enjoyed going shopping, crafting, fishing, and most of all, Katie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Surviving Katie is her husband, Steven Arnold of Little York, IL; her children, Brittany Talley of Monmouth, IL, Gentry Talley of Little York, IL, Johnathan (Kinsie Doan) Talley of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Liam Perkins, Emmalynn Ortery, McKinley Talley, Wyatt Talley, Savanah Talley; her mother, Terry (Gary) Davis of Smithshire, IL; her siblings, Anthony (Terri) Gittings of Stronghurst, IL, Dawn (Richard) Foglesong of Oneida, IL, Patricia Oduor of Kansas City, MO; maternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Gittings of Little York, IL; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Michael Arnold, and Sandra Connour, sister-in-law, Angel Ferch. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, and mother-in-law, Terry Ward.
A celebration of life will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 1, 2022, at the Monmouth V.F.W. Hall (830 North G St, Monmouth). Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Katie Arnold Memorial Fund. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
