Galesburg man arrested after domestic dispute and resisting officers.

Galesburg Police on Friday, January 14th responded to the 700 block of Maple Avenue for an unknown disturbance. Officers made contact with a female who reported her son was inside her home and “out of control” according to police reports. Police then made contact with an intoxicated 24-year old Dylan Landon who immediately walked up to the police and told them to handcuff him. As officers were attempting to detain Landon he began resisting and pulling away forcing officers to deploy pepper spray. Landon continued to resist and was eventually brought to the ground and taken into custody. According to reports, Landon was drinking beer and playing video games for several hours and became upset for unknown reasons. He at one point struck another male subject with a wooden stool causing a laceration to his forearm. Landon was transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Domestic Battery and Resisting a Peace Officer.
