
A Gladstone man was arrested on Sunday afternoon by Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputies on multiple felony charges including burglary and possession of meth.
Deputies arrested Kurt W. Scott after they received a call from a rural Biggsville resident that said there was a burglary in progress at their residence.
The caller said their dog had scared the suspect off and he left walking across a cornfield.
Deputies, as well as Oquawka Police, responded, and located footprints in the snow.
The Sheriff Department’s Auxiliary K9 Jake was able to track the suspect and flush him out of a wooded area where officers took Scott into custody.
K9 Jake also located articles in the wooded area that were stolen during the burglary
Scott is facing charges which include felony counts of Residential Burglary 2 counts of Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Methamphetamine less than 5 grams as well as several misdemeanors.
Scott is being held in the Henderson County Jail pending a first appearance and bond hearing Monday.
