A resident of Abingdon that had been missing was found deceased on Friday near his vehicle in rural Knox County.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Department says deputies along with Abingdon Police responded Friday to the intersection of Knox Roads 600E and 825N.
Police got a tip that the vehicle belonging to the missing individual was found in a field off Knox Road 600N.
Deputies checked the area once on scene and found 57-year-old Rob Rogers near his vehicle.
Police do not believe foul play to be involved at this time, but they are continuing to investigate.
