Ed Davis has written a book called, “The Last Professional”, a fictional work based heavily on his past as a hobo, hopping trains in the last gasp of the hobo heyday.
Davis is on his way to Galesburg and will be at Wordsmith Bookshoppe at 235 E. Main St. on Monday night from 6 to 8 p.m.
Davis joined Galesburg’s Evening News on Friday to talk about hobo culture, why Galesburg was chosen for some crucial scenes in the book, and why he discourages people from hopping trains today.
