An investigation is ongoing at this time related to a shots fired call and a report of a vehicle striking a tree Thursday evening.
According to the Galesburg Police Department at around 6:19, officers were called out to the 1100 block of East North Street for reports of shots fired and a vehicle striking a tree in the area.
Located in front of 1181 East North St. were several shell casings and the confirmation that the residence was struck with bullets.
The vehicle that struck the tree was located on the terrace in the area of Blaine and North Street. The car was unoccupied and shell casings were observed in the rear area of the car.
Galesburg Police say they are unaware of any injuries related to the incident.
