James K. “Jimmy” Dutton, 54, of Kirkwood, IL passed away at 12:38 pm, Thursday, August 11, 2022, at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL.
Jimmy was born September 4, 1967, in Monmouth, IL the son of James D. & Carol D. (Hank) Dutton. He was raised and educated in Kirkwood, IL, graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1985.
Jimmy married Stacey M. Lantz on August 13, 1994, in Kirkwood and she survives.
Jimmy farmed for many years around Kirkwood and then worked for L & M in Monmouth. Jimmy later worked for the Village of Kirkwood before working for Big River Resources in West Burlington and Galva, managing several areas of the different plants, for the past 16 years.
Jimmy LOVED riding his Harley with Stacey. He also enjoyed playing with his puppies. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and anything else Pittsburgh-related. He was well known for his sense of humor and his bright smile. For some unknown reason, he was known as and went by “Chumley”.
Survivors include wife, Stacey Dutton; his parents, James & Carol Dutton; his brother, William C. “Bill” (Stacey) Dutton all of Kirkwood; 2 nephews, Adam (Veronica) Stuart and Alex (Morgan) Stuart both of Monmouth; great-niece, Zoey Stuart; sister-in-law, Kelley Lantz of Monmouth; his dear puppy, Maya; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. A private family interment will take place at Monmouth Cemetery. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5:00-700 pm Monday, August 15, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and sent to the funeral home.
