Families can now have a little more fun at the Galesburg Pizza Ranch.
Featuring 30 full-sized redemption games, the newly-constructed Fun Zone Arcade is now open at Pizza Ranch, 2590 N. Seminary St.
The Fun Zone debuted with a soft opening Friday, and is officially open as of today (Monday).
The 2,800 square foot addition on the north side of the restaurant includes the Fun Zone Arcade and two additional party rooms that can seat up to 40 people.
The Fun Zone Arcade has a variety games for all age and skill levels. Games range from traditional basketball, claw, and Skee Ball machines, to state-of-the-art virtual reality games.
Fun Zone games are played using a swipe card technology, meaning no entering of currency or tokens into the machines. And instead of tickets for prizes, winnings will be added on to the swipe card for redemption. Customers can also leave with the card, and return to build up points for larger prizes.
“This is really a game changer for Galesburg, because there was really no place for families to have parties,” said Galesburg Pizza Ranch general manager Kevin Chase. “We really cover the gambit in the variety of games we offer.”
Hours at Pizza Ranch are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Pizza Ranch services a breakfast brunch from 9 to 11 a.m. on weekends.
The Galesburg Pizza Ranch opened in September 2016.
