A new health clinic that will treat a range of mild illnesses and injuries is set to open this winter at Seminary Square Shopping Center.
OSF OnCall Urgent Care, a division of OSF HealthCare, will move into a vacant store front most recently occupied by Rue 21 on Volunteer Drive. It will be open for in-person visits from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. everyday, including holidays.
A spokesperson for OSF said the OnCall Urgent Care will open this winter, but did not have a target date. OSF PromptCare will remain open at 695 N. Kellogg St., site of the former Cottage Hospital ER.
According to OSF, OnCall Urgent Care will allow patients to get in and out in under 40 minutes. It will accept walk-ins or scheduled appointments.
Each OSF OnCall Urgent Care clinic is staffed by an advanced practice provider, such as a physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse. In addition, a radiology technologist and either a certified medical assistant, a medical office assistant or a licensed practical nurse, are also on staff.
OnCall Urgent care also offers 24/7/365 virtual care. During a virtual visit, patients will be cared for by the same providers they would see during an in-person clinic visit.
OSF OnCall Urgent Care treats a range of mild illnesses and injuries, including:

- Broken bones*
- Cold or flu symptoms
- Earache
- Fevers
- Foreign object in eye or nose
- Headaches
- Minor allergic reaction
- Minor burns or bruises
- Minor fracture
- Pink eye
- Rash or poison ivy
- School and sports physicals for students year round* (Immunizations not available)
- Scrapes or minor cuts
- Skin complaints
- Sore throat
- Sprains
- Suturing*
- Urinary tract infection
- Upper respiratory infection
* Not available for treatment with an OSF OnCall Urgent Care virtual visit.
