The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team wrapped up the Martin Luther King Tournament with a blowout victory over the Rantoul Eagles, 77-46. The Streaks got a bit of revenge for the 6-point loss they suffered to the Eagles at the Taylorville Holiday Tournament.
GHS Junior Ian Dominique had a break-out game against Rantoul scoring a career high 31-points! He ended up with seven 3-pointers, which was only 1 shy of the school record for the most three-pointers by a player in a single game. With his inspiring performance, it was no surprise that Ian Dominique was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game.
Next up for the the Silver Streaks, they host the Morton Potters Tuesday (1/17) night at John Thiel Gym. Brad Bennewitz and Jason Wessels will bring you the action starting with the pregame at 6:40pm on 93.7 FM and 1400 AM WGIL, as well as wgil.com.
