An expanding central-Illinois health care group has made its second major Galesburg property acquisition this month.
Canton-based Graham Hospital Association purchased the vacant former Medical Arts Clinic at 387 E. Grove St. from FHP&D Properties LLC on Wednesday. The transaction was for $225,000, according to records obtained from the Knox County Assessor office.
On Jan. 4, Graham Health System purchased approximately 40 acres of land near the intersection of North Seminary Street and Carl Sandburg Drive for an undisclosed use. Most recently utilized as farm land, the large tract spans from Burger King south to the Circle Drive subdivision, and west to houses that face Broad Street. The purchase price for those 40.3 acres of land was $5,175,000.
So far, Graham Health System has declined to comment on its plans for the newly acquired properties.

FHP&D Properties had purchased the 387 E. Grove St. property from Galesburg Cottage Hospital for $70,000 in the fall of 2021. It has since made major interior and exterior improvements to the building at Grove and Seminary streets. The Medical Arts Group — which was home to Drs. Jeffrey Hill, Robert Wagner, Robert Currie and Keith Peachey — occupied the Grove Street building before moving to the Cottage Hospital campus.
“We saw Graham as a perfect fit to continue breathe life back into that building and our community,” said Ryan Frakes of FHP&D Properties. “My company wants to see what’s best for Galesburg and will to do that through Cherry Street Brewing Company and our other endeavors around town.”
Graham has now acquired three Galesburg properties in the last 10 months, all of which touch Seminary Street. Graham Medical Group’s Convenient Care clinic in Galesburg opened Sept. 6 at 1174 N. Seminary St. in the former Hayden Chiropractic Clinic.
Graham Health System consists of six clinic locations serving the Galesburg, Lewistown, Canton, Macomb, Farmington, Elmwood and Williamsfield communities. Graham Medical Group specializes in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ear Nose & Throat, Podiatry, Urology, Wound Care, Vascular, Pain and Breast Surgery.
The centerpiece of the Health System is Graham Hospital, located in Canton. Graham Hospital is a full-service hospital with a comprehensive array of services, including General, Orthopedic, Gynecological, and Urologic Robotic Surgeries.
