In a hard-fought Western Big 6 Conference match-up, the Galesburg Silver Streaks girls basketball team fell to the Geneseo Maple Leafs at Geneseo tonight (1/19). The Streaks had a 10-point lead in the 3rd quarter but the Leafs came roaring back to get the win, 58 -49. The Streaks are now 19-5 overall on the season, and 6-3 in conference play.
Junior Kiarra Kilgore was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game. Of the 14 points that the Streaks scored in the 4th quarter, 12 of them came from Kiarra. She ended with another double-double, 26-points and 10 rebounds, along with 2 steals.
