The Galesburg Silver Streaks boys basketball team opened post season play Saturday (2/18) afternoon at John Thiel Gym with a win over the Geneseo Maple Leafs, 62 – 20. The Streaks move on to play Rock Island at the Dunlap Regional Wednesday (2/22) night.
Junior Ian Dominique was named the Dave’s Auto Body Crunch Time Player of the Game as he set a new Galesburg record for the number of 3-point shots made in a single season at 88. Ian surpassed the record of 84 3-pointers set by Ethan Meeker during the 2015 season, and then he tied his own record the following season.
